The annual Fishing Derby is cancelled until April 17 & 18, 2021. As of October 18 the lake capacity was at 68%. We are in the fall season for bass fishing. Largemouth and Smallmouth bass have been biting on lipless crank baits, swim-jigs, swimbaits and jigs. The bass are continuing to school up and round up shad into bait balls and feed on them. Now is the time to use those baitfish imitating lures such as jerkbaits, swimbaits and lipless cranks. On hotter days using a drop shot or ned-rig will catch those lethargic bass. You can find bass in grass, timber and off of main lake points. The trout bite is slowly picking up, we just have to wait for the water temp to cool down now is the time to catch those aggressive bass before the winter. We open at 7am.
