As of October 25th the lake capacity was 68%. As the days are getting shorter and the nights are getting cooler, the water temps are beginning to fall. There will eventually be more fisherman and less pleasure boaters. The best time to come and fish will be ing the mornings and afternoons or when we have cloudy/overcast days. We will be open all fall and winter.

Large and smallmouth bass have been biting on lipless crank baits, swim jigs, swim baits, and jigs. The bass are continues to school up and round up shad into bait balls and feed on them. Not is the time to use those baitfish imitating lures such as jerk baits, swimbaits, and lipless cranks. on hotter days, using a drop shot or ned-rig will catch those lethargic bass. You can find bass in grass, timber and off of main lake points. The trout bite is slowly picking up, we just have to wait for the water temp to cool down. Not is the time to catch those aggressive bass before the winter.
