Fishing is transitioning to a fall pattern, where shad schools are being pushed up into the shallows and bass are feeding heavily before the winter. The bite has slowed down with less and less boils happening first thing in the morning, but more so in the later afternoon.

The stripers are mainly being caught on the troll, using producer flies and umbrella rigs. Some angler have been having success with lug worms and nightcralwers as well.

The largemouth have also become more finicky as of late, but are still coming up to the surface to geed on the bait throughout the day. Anglers using live shad have been having decent days. You can also get them on the good old drop shot or a finesse style bait. Flukes and tiny jerk baits have also been getting bit.

The catfish bite has improved and some decent sized cats have been ending up on anglers stringers. Soaking anchovies or mackerel seems to be the best bet.

The bluegill and crappie have slowed down with the cooler temperatures lately, and the lagoon has been producing better.
