Anglers have still been catching stripers up to 80ft deep on various cut baits over the past week, most bites have been produced off sardines and mackerel. The Yellowbar area, Spanish Point, and Posey cove towards the dam has been a few hot spots throughout the day for the deeper stripers. Over the weekend, people have been catching trout along the shoreline and throughout the marina and first two coves of the lake mainly on powerbait or nightcrawlers. People have also been using smaller tube baits, spinning baits, and kastmasters to come across the trout as well. Most recent trout plant was on Friday March 5 and schedules can be found at wildlife.ca.gov. Bass have mainly been caught on finesse style baits like jigs, ned rigs, roboworms and senkos. Rocky points and coves have been better spots over the past few weeks.
