More wind hammered the lake this past week with Ramp closure for three days straight. Lots of Largemouth Bass being caught in the morning and the evening hours both in the upper and lower lakes with a fair to good afternoon bite as reports show. The last plant didn't bring in the striper as all had hoped but reports of numerous limits of smaller schoolie fish being caught in both the fish arm and the ski arm. Most fish taken have been on cut bait and night crawlers with a decent lure, and spoon bite. Largemouth Bass are reportedly being caught on ox blood, motor oil and watermelon plastic with night crawlers also producing a fair amount of flesh. Big winds pushed the trout into cleaner deeper water during the week but have returned to the dam and the ramp later in the week making the trout fishing improve for the weekenders. No catfish reported this week.

Trout plant in the lower lake gave fishermen something to play with while the winds pounded the shorelines on the upper lake. A few catfish came in with the biggest tipping 4 pounds....... Read More

Some big ones were caught along with many smaller fish but unfortunately not in the numbers as those in past weeks. The bait bite continued to show signs of activity in the late morning through the early afternoon hours while big baits...... Read More
