As of June 20th the lake capacity was 57%

We are now in our post spawn season for bass. This means bass have been moved off their beds and are moving back to deeper water to recover from the span. Usually the bigger females will move deep while the males will stay shallow to guard their fry ( baby bass). To catch these post spawn bass, you will want to use topwater in the early morning and late afternoon. When later in the day, senkos, jigs, spinnerbaits, and drop shot will prevail.

Bluegill usually spawn after the bass and the bass know this. Bass will feed up on unsuspecting bluegill, so using bluegill swibaits or swim jigs can produce big bites. Keep on the look out for shad bait balls as those can bring bass from all round to feed. You will want to use shad swimbaits, so anything white colored or flashy can produce a stroke.

The trout bite has slowed down significant as they have moved deeper to cooler water temps.

The crappie and catfish bite have increased.
