The water continues to steadily drop 1-3 feet a day and is getting closer to its lowest expected elevation. The plan is to start re-fill by December, fingers crosses. Fishing another has been decent for most anglers. Its almost as if the fish are being condensed into a smaller area. Overall the largemouth fishing has been steady, with a lot of good numbers to report. The topwater and reaction bait bite has been able to gain some traction, especially first thing in the morning and later in the evening. There’s a good number fo shad around the banks and in the marina. The fish have been boiling and chasing them later. Plastics and finesse baits have also been producing for most anglers out there.

Stripers have also been gaining traction with a lot of smaller sized fish being caught lately. Every now and then an angler on the troll will manage some better-quality fish with flies and lead core line mainly. Some anglers have been having luck with the bait bite and loading a lug worm or sardines has been working.

The Catfish are also becoming more prevalent lately and some big ones have been caught recently off a good old nightcrawlers and cut bait.

The trout bite remains slow and the bluegill and crappie also remain elusive. The lower lake is currently better for those species as of now.
