Coves have been hot spots to come across bass

Catfish and striper have been biting various cit baits off points throughout the lake in deeper water typically using a heavy sinker and long leader to fish deeper waters ad mange the winds. Sardines and chicken liver have been herby baits to get bit throughout the day. Angler shave also had luck trolling the lake using heavy kastmaters or deep diving jerk baits and jig heads with paddle tail trailers. Bass have been caught using jigs or senkos and other creature like plastics off steeper walls around the lake. Coves have been hot spots to come across bass, catfish and trout throughout the day within 40 feet deep. Trout have been mainly caught off powerbaits and nightcrawlers either split shot or drop shot styles have been working best.

With two trout plants over the past week, people have been able to catch their limits of trout from the shoreline and throughout the coves around the lake. The trout bite has slowed down a bit since the last plant about a month ago, some angels have had luck towards Bear Trap, Spanish Point and Posey Cove for a couple trout down deep on nightcrawlers and power bait with a long leader to sit off the bottom.
