Out last trout stocking was on 1/5/22. We had 1,400 lbs. planted at the main launch ramp and are awaiting our net one. The brow debris has started to slowly creep back out to the middle of the lake and we’re hoping the winds don’t blow it back our way. Wet it packs into the marina we sometimes have to shut down launching.

Trout fishing slowed down the past few day, and anglers are having luck with Powerbait, trout mini jigs and spoons. Most fish have been caught around eh Amin launch ramp.

The largemouth and smallmouth bite remains brought but has improved with warmer afternoons. Most fish have been coming off a nightcrawler, or plastic worm in about 10-30 feet of water has been working. Ned rigs, Carolina-rigs, and Neko rigs have bene working best for finesse fishing. You can also manage a few on a deep diving crank or jigs early mrongin or even a small piffle tail swimbaits.

The stripers are being in good numbers with a lot of small ones in the mix. Every now and then a better one will bite through. Soaking sardines, anchovies, and lug worms have been working best around 30-20 feet of water. Even the shore has been producing limits for a lot of angler. The trout swimbaits have also been getting decent acorn these past couple of moths since the stockings have started. Huddlestones, plunkers/topwater and glides have been getting the most action but has slowed down the past couple weeks.

The Catfish bite is still going well, mainly off anchovies, chicken liver, and mackerel. The dam has bene the best spot for the catfish as of late.

Bluegill and crappie remains a tough bite and the lower lagoon has been a better spot to target these species.

The largemouth bite has been decent down at the lagoon, with shad imitation baits and finesse working best.

We once again received a sizable trout stocking on 12/10 on the main launch ramp. It was around 1,800 lbs. of decent sized stockers. Rainbow trout are mainly biting on mice tails, spoons or spinners and dough powerbait. The guys chuckling big swimbaits have been able to land a few bigger sized stripers as well. Huddlestons, punchers and glide baits have been getting most of the attention. With consistent plants the trout bite has really kicked into gear from shoreline. The...... Read More
