Lake Evans has been one of the best bets for local anglers with trout and crappie anglers reporting good fishing. Trout anglers continue to pull in good numbers of rainbows with Powerbait, minijigs, and Mousetails fooling plenty of fish. Kayak anglers trolled flicker shad and other small crankbaits for both trout and crappie. Crappie also took small white and green swimbaits under a bobber. Catfish picked up dip bait and nightcrawlers, and bass anglers reported a fair bite on Senkos and crankbaits.
