The lake held at 85 percent of its storage capacity, and water clarity continued to improve. The lake has been closed to launching periodically, so call before you make the drive. Bass anglers reported catching fish on small drop-shot baits, Carolina rigs, and Ned rigs. Bass were found as deep as 40 feet, with slower presentations along bluff walls and points producing the best results. Striped bass anglers trolled umbrella rigs rigged with white or chartreuse swimbaits for decent action. Catfish anglers soaked chicken liver near the inlet to land whiskerfish.
