With a trout plant on Tuesday, we were hoping for some striper action but it just never happened. The Stripers still haven't come out of their hibernation yet but people all along the shoreline are still catching trout. A few largies have been caught on swimbaits around the marina and the cove to the right of the marina. Down the dam near the tower, a few stripers have been caught off of bait and just a couple off swimbaits. As far as striper fishing out on the lake goes, you have about as good of a chance from the shore as you do on the water. Largies are still bustin all over the lake and are not being as picky as they have been in the past few weeks. Swimbaits worms and shad imitations are working better in the morning but the mid afternoon bite is doing pretty good. The fish arm is definitely more productive but it is mainly largies with maybe a few stripers. Fishing at the lagoon has been doing ok but with no trout still those largies are getting pretty hungry.

Hopefully, this will get some striper action going. It has still been really hard to pinpoint the stripers anywhere in the lake. Few people have been getting lucky here and there but there really isn't a hot spot for the...... Read More

Castaic LakeFishing is still picking up a little but the big deal of the week is the first trout plant of the season. The trout plant didn't areally seem to wake up those stripers yet, but the largies have been swirling and teasing the trout all the way from Ball point to C point and the West Ramp. Some smaller stripers have been caught but nothing of goos size yet. As far as the trout there was...... Read More
