The Albacore continue to bite. This weekend wasn't quite as good as last weekend but we still caught quality fish. Afternoons have generally been a little better fishing than the mornings but we have picked up some fish before noon. When you're on a 1.5 day trip we'd rather catch that afternoon bite than hit them in the morning and just pick up a few stragglers the rest of the day.

Like other boats out there, we're finding a lot of fish. It's getting them to bite that is tough. Seems like when we find a nice school of fish we can get them up to the surface but they only bite for a short while before the bite stops and the fish head down. Makes it frustrating for the passengers and the crew.

Water and weather conditions remain favorable for the foreseeable future. We're heading into the new moon on Saturday so hopefully the bite will take off. They bit well on the last full moon, let's hope they bite on the new moon.

The Albacore bite busted loose last Saturday and has been getting better as the week has progressed. We're finding a large body of fish willing to bite. These fish are great quality. Lots in the 20 - 30 pound range and some jackpot winners are approaching 35 pounds. The best fishing so far has been from multi-day trips although the overnight boats have started to put up good numbers of fish too. This is by far the best Albacore fishing...... Read More

Fishing has really taken off!! This past weekend the dock total passed 1,800 Albacore. This is what we've been waiting for. Albacore by the 4th of July. These fish have been real quality, 15 - 25 pounds with a lot right around 20 pounds. We're still getting some Bluefin in the mix along with some nice Yellowtail. Some of the other boats got a little better numbers of fish than we did but we boated 140 Albacore, 7 nice Bluefin,...... Read More
