Trout action was excellent with anglers using 12 to 18 inch leaders, power bait (especially rainbow, orange and spring green), night crawlers, jigs and lures to catch limits. Bite remained strong throughout the day. Hot spots included the eastern logged shore, grassy point and western shore of lake 3 from the pump house to the bridge as well as the northern, eastern and southern shores of lake 2.

Catches of the week: Bob Zuehlsdorft of Apple Valley scored a 6 lbs 4 ozs ruby red steelhead on a black Panther Martin while fishing near the inlets of Lake 2. Jason Wyatt of Palmdale caught a 3 lb 7 ozs rainbow using an orange power worm on the western shore of lake 3. Dante Borje of Apple Valley caught a 5 lbs 5 ozs trout on a silver Kastmaster near the inlet of lake 2.
