Trout action was good on both lakes with anglers using 12 to 18 inch leaders, power bait ( especially spring green, chartruese and rainbow), night crawlers, jigs and lures to score limits. Lot of limits went out this week despite the low weather system that went through this weekend and the full moon. Smokey skies have varied from moderate to fair.?? Hot spots include the western and eastern shores of lake 3 as well as the northern and eastern shores of lake 2.

Prize Day Winners:?? Biggest trout adult first place went to Joel Adams of San Bernardino. His 6 lbs 10 ozs trout was caught using a green/black shad crappie jig with a power worm tail on the grassy point of lake 3. Child division first place biggest trout prizes went to Rudolpho Alvarez Jr. of Apple Valley with his 1 lbs 11 ozs trout caught on rainbow power bait on the eastern shore of lake 2.?? Adult second place biggest trout went to Mark Harwell of Victorville for his 5 lbs 15 ozs trout caught on green power bait while fishing the eastern shore of lake 2. Child division second place biggest trout went to Mikayla Michaels of Hesperia who caught a 1 lbs 4 ozs trout on chartruese power bait near the inlets of lake 2. David Bolesworth of Apple Valley won adult division third place biggest trout as well as first place heaviest limit/stringer with a 4 lbs 10 ozs rainbow and 8 lbs 15 ozs stringer. All were caught on green power bait on the eastern logged shore of lake 3. The third place child division was a tie with both Garrett Williams of Victorville and Logan Wolf of Hesperia winning with their 1 lb 1 ozs trout.?? Burt Wolf of Hesperia took adult second place for his heaviest limit of 6 lbs 13 ozs and John Chapman won third place for his 6 lbs 12 ozs stringer. Smallest trout winners were Danny Williams/ 10ozs and Bob Williams/ 12 ozs in the adult division and Mikayla Michaels /13 ozs and Logan Wolf /14 ozs in the child division.

Catches of the week: Eight year old, Adam Levinson of Hesperia caught his 6 lbs 4 ozs catfish on anchovies while fishing the eastern shore of lake 2 near the concrete pier with his Uncle Max. Paul Orabona of Victorville scored a 7 lbs 2 ozs trout on a green Trout Teaser jig while fishing the western shore of lake 3. Carissa Adams of Victorville reeled in a nice 6 lbs 1 ozs trout on the eastern shore of lake 3 on lime twist power bait. Matt Carland of Alta Loma scored a 3 lb 12 oz rainbow using an orange Lip Ripperz on the western shore of lake 2.
