Nacimiento Reservoir continued to drop about one foot per week. At the time of reporting, the lake sat at 63 percent of its storage capacity, and fishing remained solid. Spotted bass and white bass were readily available for anglers using topwater techniques. Spotted bass also took drop shot rigs, Neko rigs, and small jigs along bluff walls and main and secondary points. Many of the bass transitioned into a post-spawning phase and were found deeper, responding to deep-diving crankbaits and jigs. A slow-sinking Senko was also effective from 5 to 15 feet deep. The crappie bite remained decent, with mini jigs getting bites near submerged structure and vegetation. Catfish were caught on cut baits and dip bait.
