Trout bite was excellent with anglers using power bait ( especially sherbet, rainbow, spring green, chartreuse and orange), inflated night crawlers dipped in garlic or anise, lures, jigs and senkos to catch fish. Lots of limits went out again this week and most trout were near or over 2 pounds. Also, the bite remained strong throughout the day. Hot spots included the western, eastern and northern shores of lake 2 especially the inlets as well as the eastern shore and western shore from the pump house to the bridge.

Catches of the Week: Rick Trudeau of La Verne scored a 5 lbs 12 ozs rainbow on a power bait/ night crawler combo while fishing the eastern logged shore of lake 3. Maurice Van Der Moere of Costa Mesa caught his 4 lbs 13 ozs trout using chartreuse power bait on the western shore of lake 3 near the drain. Jack Krause of Fontana reeled in a 4 lbs 6 ozs rainbow on a Thomas Buoyant on the eastern shore of lake 2. Taylor Henson of Palmdale caught a 3 lbs 11 ozs trout on rainbow power bait on the western shore of lake 2.
