Anglers enjoyed beautiful weather and excellent trout action on both lakes this week with Power bait ( especially lime twist, lemon twist, red, white and blue, and spring green) night crawlers ( inflated and doused with attractant), jigs and lures catching limits. Most stringers showed nice sized trout with many over two pounds. Hot spots included the logged eastern shore and western shore of lake 3 as well as the western and northern shores of lake 2. Anglers report good action for Bass on drop shot and senkos with very good top water action. Hot spots for bass are the western and southern shore of lake 2 and the northern shore of lake 3. Bluegill are biting mealworms, night crawlers and jigs with best action on the western shore of lake 2 and the northern and western shore of lake 3.

Catches of the Week: Mark Weston of Los Angeles caught 4 lb 3 ozs rainbow on an orange LipRipperz near the drain on the western shore of lake 2. Jon Harris of Alta Loma reeled in a 3 lbs 12 ozs trout on lemon twist power bait while fishing the eastern logged shore of lake 3. Janice Marks scored a 3 lbs 7 ozs trout on lime twist power bait near the pump house of lake 3.

The Lakes' Hatchery stocks trout every Friday year round.

Trout action remained strong this week, even with the storm that passed through. Anglers caught lots of limits on Power bait ( especially salmon peach, rainbow and spring green), night crawlers, jigs and lures. Even with the heat on, anglers scored lots of limits. Power bait ( Orange, Sherbet, Spring Green, Captain America), night crawlers doused in garlic, jigs and lures all hooked trout. Hot spots included the grassy point, eastern and western shores of lake 3 as well as the northern and western shores of lake 2.
