The department of fish and game stocked the upper lake on Tuesday, May 26th with rainbow trout and the lower lagoon was stocked on Tuesday, June 2nd with rainbow trout as well. Both the upper and lower lakes are responding very well to the post spawn and the recent weather we have been having. The lower lake is producing a lot of Largemouth Bass, Crappie, Bluegill and Trout. Night crawlers seem to be working best for all of the fish at the lagoon. The upper lake is still producing a lot of small stripers at the fore bay buoyline on small bits of anchovies and sardines. More medium sized stripers (3-7lbs) are being caught on Main Dam on anchovies, sardines and night crawlers. The bigger stripers are still being pulled in on trout swimbaits and plugs along the shoreline to the right of the Marina and off the dam. The trolling bite has picked up quite a bit in the fish arm on the west side near Sharon's Rest. The largemouth bass are doing very well in the backs of the coves and on the points of the coves. Night crawlers, plastics and small shadlike crank baits are doing well to reel in the bass (typically 1 1/2 - 3 lbs.). Trout have become very scarce at and around the Marina

Night crawlers have proven that natural food still works as they seem to be wanting more of the wigglers. Plastics also proved effective for those fly lining senkos, texas rigging robos and like baits with a caroline rig and drop shotting...... Read More

Lots of Largemouth Bass being caught in the morning and the evening hours both in the upper and lower lakes with a fair to good afternoon bite as reports show. The last plant didn't bring in the striper as all had hoped but reports of numerous limits of smaller schoolie fish being caught in both the fish arm and the ski arm. ...... Read More
