The catfish are biting. The catfish are big so you will need strong testline. Nightcrawlers and meal worms are the desired bait for the fish here at Lake Perris, but htey love snacking o crickets. If you like bluegills, Lake Perris is the place to be. You can catch them all day long on crickets.

Bass: Excellent with an Average size of 1 1/2 lb.
Bluegill: Excellent with an Average size of 1 lb.
Carp: Good with an Average size of 1 lb.
Catfish: Excellent with an Average size of 1 1/2 lb.
Crappie: Excellent with an Average size of 1 lb.
Redear: Excellent with an Average size of 1/2 lb.
Trout: Good with an Average size of 1 lb.

Bluegill are definitely the main catch here at Lake Perris. They are biting on crickets and nightcrawlers. You can sit and relax and catch bluegills all day long on the door at the Marina. Bluegills are biting like crazy. They love the crickets and wax worms this week. Bass are also biting powerbait and nightcrawlers. The Marina dock is the place to catch them.
