The lake rose slightly to 83 percent of storage capacity, with water temperatures ranging from the mid-60s to 70 degrees. Bass fishing was great, with most of the action continuing in 5 to 20 feet of water and some larger females holding deeper near the 25-foot range. Drop-shot, Carolina rigs, and weightless Senkos continued to produce, with baby bass, salt and pepper with a purple or blue hue, and brown color patterns working for strikes. Points and bluff walls remained consistent places to look for biting bass. Striped bass were slow with a few caught by anglers trolling umbrella-rigs and a few also falling for cut bait on the soak. Catfish bit Carolina rigged chicken liver, dip bait, and cut sardines.
