Water levels rose to 84 percent of capacity, and water temperatures fell slightly to 66 to 68 degrees. Bass fishing remained excellent, with good numbers of smaller-grade bass being caught. Drop-shot rigs, Carolina rigs, and weightless wacky-rigged thin Senkos were the most productive baits. Baby bass, salt and pepper with a purple stripe, and brown proved to be effective colors throughout the lake. Most bass held on main and secondary points, with some stretches of the lake nearly barren of action while others produced excellent fishing depending on the time of day and weather. Striped bass anglers trolled umbrella rigs and flies in deeper water for fair results, and catfish remained reliable for anglers soaking nightcrawlers and cut baits.
