Pyramid remained near 90% of its storage capacity, while water temperatures dropped into the mid- to upper 60s. Bass anglers continued finding success with dark-colored jigs, while deep-diving crankbaits produced steadily until sunlight reached the water. Drop-shot rigs and jigs imitating freshwater prawns also drew bites along steep bluff walls. Striped bass were caught on cut sardines in 30 to 90 feet of water, with anglers putting in full days reporting between two and 10 fish. Trolling umbrella rigs was another effective technique. Catfish action improved as more shore anglers targeted areas with fewer weeds, with cut baits and chicken liver producing the best results.
