The trout plant again didn't really help the swimbait fishing for the stripers. Some trout can still be found around the far edges of the marina but most have gone deep, but the stripers are even deeper. The cur bait bite has picked up at the buoy line and around Sharron's Rest. Sardines and blood worms are still the hot ticket for the stripers down deep. The large mouth bite at the upper lake has been steadily getting better. They are still biting the spinners early and the fluke mid morning through the afternoon. Crawdads have brouht up some really nice bass from the fish arm, two brothers caught 3 largies over 7 pounds each in one spot. Elizabeth Cyn and most cove in the fish arm have been producing more fish now that the water level has leveled off. With the lagoon still a couple feet low the fishing has still been difficult. Shad baits and night crawlers are still working down there in the morning and throughout the day. Catfish fishing at both the upper lake and lower lagoon has been decent with some fish getting into the double digits.

Blood worms and sardines are catching the bigger stripers and the most productive place for the stripers is at the buoy line. There are a few places in the fish arm near Elizabeth and it's the same...... Read More

The Stripers still haven't come out of their hibernation yet but people all along the shoreline are still catching trout. A few largies have been caught on swimbaits around the marina and the cove to the right of the marina. Down the dam near the tower, a few stripers have been caught off of bait and just a couple......
