Fishing at Castaic has been good. Stripers and largemouth bass have been boiling. The striper action has been at the end of the fish arm. Most stripers are being caught on topwater, jerkbaits, and spoons. The bait bite for stripers has slowed down a bit. Largemouth bass are boiling close to shore and in the back of coves. Most largemouth bass are being caught on reaction baits. Largemouth can also be caught on plastics in 5 to 30 ft deep. The catfish bite has been steady with fish over 10 lbs being caught. The best bait for catfish has been anchovies and mackerel.
