Striper boils have started to calm down a bit over the past week as stripers start to have dive to deeper depths. Bait, spoons, and worms have been working around 60 feet at the end of the Fish Arm by Utopia and Dry Gulch. Anglers are also having luck with same bait and lures around the back side of C-Point. Largemouth are continuing to bite on Nightcrawlers and crank baits off of the shoreline and over by Old S.S Catfish are still biting on Mackerel by Old S.S as well. The lake should be expected to be stocked with trout sometime in early to mid November. The water level is currently at 1382'.

Castaic LakeFishing at Castaic has been good. Stripers and largemouth bass have been boiling. The striper action has been at the end of the fish arm. Most stripers are being caught on topwater, jerkbaits, and spoons. The bait bite for stripers has slowed down a bit. Largemouth bass are boiling close to shore and in the back of coves. Castaic LakeThis past week at Castaic Lake showed improved bites from Catfish and Largemouth. Big Catfish have been coming out of Elizabeth Canyon and Utopia Cove on Mackerel and Sardines. The Largemouth have been biting in the early morning and late afternoon on worms, mainly. Many anglers have been having luck around Hawk's Nest, the shoreline, and Coash Cove.
