River Walk has been fishing very well since CDFW stocked trout last week, with anglers reporting excellent action on Indian crickets, Powerbait, and a variety of spinners. The bass bite has stayed steady, with fish being taken on crankbaits, jerkbaits, jigs, and shad-style plastics worked on a drop-shot. Both lakes are also producing bluegill and crappie, with wax worms and red worms being the top baits. The BKO Fishing Derby is coming up on February 7, 2026. For the event, both lakes will be stocked with over 1,500 pounds of lightning and rainbow trout, including trophy fish up to five pounds and 25 tagged trout worth up to $1,000.
