The lake remained near full pool at approximately 92 percent of its storage capacity, and fishing was good to excellent. Striped bass provided the best action, with anglers catching surface-feeding fish on bubble rigs tipped with tiny Flukes, Espetites, spoons, topwater lures. Anglers using fresh-frozen cut sardines also limited out on five- to 7-pound fish near Serrano Cove, the dam, and Yellowbar. Bass anglers enjoyed steady success by throwing poppers and walking baits during the mornings, along with drop-shot rigs, Texas rigs, Senko-style baits, shaky heads, and jerkbaits. Catfish anglers also fared well while soaking cut mackerel, sardines, cut anchovies, chicken liver, and dip bait in areas with fewer weeds.
