The lake held at 50 percent of capacity and fishing was good. Reports indicated the spring bite was close. Water temperatures stayed in the upper fifties and clarity improved. Bass took finesse baits on points and bluff walls with many fish up shallow. The Las Tablas area produced steady activity. Spinnerbaits and underspins also connected. White bass were reported near cove mouths on spoons and swimbaits. Crappie bit in 10 to 20 feet of water and took minijigs in multiple colors. Catfish anglers used cut bait and chicken liver with good success.
