Nacimiento Lake remained at 66 percent of its storage capacity, and water temperatures rose into the low sixties. Fishing was very good as local teams reported boating up to 100 bass in a single outing. Finesse presentations in shad, brown, and green pumpkin patterns produced in 5 to 30 feet of water. One credible report noted larger bass coming on white Colorado blade spinnerbaits. White bass actively chased bait near the surface, and anglers found success with topwater lures, spoons, and in-line spinners as the shad were pushed up. Many anglers also targeted crappie, which bit well in 10 to 20 feet of water on live minnows, minijigs, and small swimbaits. Catfish anglers reported good action from shore while using cut bait and dip bait.
