The spring bass bite is in full swing, with anglers finding consistent action on soft plastics, jerkbaits, and jigs. As the day winds down, a steady topwater bite has been developing in the late afternoons, providing some exciting surface action. Bluegill fishing has been productive as well, with fish being caught on wax worms and mealworms fished under a bobber. The crappie bite has been best later in the afternoon, with anglers reporting good success using live minnows and mini jigs. Trout fishing remains solid following last week’s CDFW stocking, with anglers finding success on spinners, Get Bent Baits, GULP! pinched crawlers, and garlic-scented Powerbait.
