Nacimiento Lake sat near 50 percent of storage capacity, and Golden Empire Bass Club tournament anglers showed that fishing was excellent at Naci. Some anglers reported catching more than 50 fish per day, with most fish in the one- to three-pound range. Small plastic worms and jigs produced consistent bites, with brown, purple, and baitfish patterns all working well. White bass were readily available for anglers throwing swimbaits and A-rigs near the inlet. Crappie were active in 15 to 20 feet of water, with small swimbaits producing slabs approaching three pounds.
