Bass fishing really picked up at Hart Park this week prior to the storms. Largemouth anglers reported good success using drop-shot rigs, Texas-rigged plastics, and creature baits worked near the inlet. A slow retrieve combined with pitching directly into heavy cover produced the most consistent bites. February is traditionally a strong month for anglers targeting a personal-best largemouth, as fish begin staging and feeding more aggressively ahead of the spring transition. Bluegill action was also steady, with anglers finding success using live worms.
