The lake level held at 66 percent of capacity, and water temperatures stayed in the prime spring bite zone with clear water. Nacimiento fished extremely well. Anglers reported outstanding action on spotted bass, with some catching more fish than they could count and several reporting 100-plus fish days. A 10-pound bass was also reported from the Las Tablas area. Drop shots, Ned rigs, Neko rigs, shaky heads, and Senkos in nearly any color all produced fish in 5 to 30 feet of water. Slow-rolled Keitechs also worked well for both bass and crappie. Larger bass were taken on white spinnerbaits. White bass continued chasing shad near the surface, and anglers caught them on topwater walking baits, spoons, and inline spinners. Catfish action stayed reliable on cut sardines, chicken liver, and dip bait.
